Most of the PET type films offered by competitors suffer from weak durability (coating degradation within 3-6 months) and lengthy installation times (over 1 hour). However, customers had no alternative choices. Some customers even opt for non-Windshield products to reduce cost despite the durability issues.
With advancing technology and the inclusion of various sensors for autonomous driving and other features, front windshields now contain more sensors, increasing the risk of damage and replacement costs. Consumer interest in front windshield protection is rising, but suitable solutions are lacking.
To address this inconvenience, STEK has developed two product lines:
A. DYNOflex, utilizing TPU technology, ensures rapid installation, achieving the most convenient installation process for installers (installation within 10 minutes).
B. A product that maintains transparency similar to the front windshield while enhancing coating durability, offering up to 2 years of warranty. It boasts over 30% better installation efficiency than competing PET products.
The original intention behind offering these two series was to provide options for installers and vehicle owners to choose products suitable for their environments.
Unfortunately, due to the extreme focus on installation convenience with DYNOflex, unforeseen issues arose in coating and appearance depending on installation conditions such as climate. Fortunately, through a comprehensive process review, we identified the causes, and improvements have regained customer trust through installation tests.
Based on these improvements, STEK has introduced new products. Going beyond simple physical protection, the DYNOflex-Cool with TPU type achieves 85% blockage according to SIRR standards while the PET type WSeffect-Cool achieves 90% blockage.
We propose a package that includes a dedicated coating to enhance coating functionality post-installation, protecting the product from external damage and achieving higher durability.
